Review report on a dissertation – is a document containing an assessment of the scientific work of an applicant for an academic degree. The review report, or official opponent’s report, is prepared by an independent expert who holds an academic degree in the relevant scientific field. In addition, the applicant’s scientific supervisor or consultant must also provide a report.
The review report is required to assess the scientific value of the dissertation and its compliance with the requirements for dissertations set by the HAC KR. It also helps the members of the dissertation council form an objective opinion about the dissertation and make a well-founded decision regarding its defence.
